Automobiles, which are composed of about 30,000 parts, require various types of materials, such as iron and steel, glass, plastic, electricity, etc., and technologies from many fields. Therefore, the strengths of various industries are needed to construct an automobile. It can be said that the automobile industry links together all the industries of Japan. Further, in order to live in harmony with nature and preserve the Earth for future generations, our automobiles must be friendly to the environment. Today many practical technologies have been developed as a result of much effort to create automobiles that are not harmful for the environment. In this way, new technologies are constantly being researched and developed in order to preserve the automobile as our dream vehicle.
