Up to now this exhibition room has housed a comprehensive range of exhibits relating to JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) development projects, including actual objects, models, panels, videos, etc. Renamed "Information Center," it has been remodeled into an exhibition area providing a variety of information relating not only to space development but also to all aspects of the universe.
1.Theme of Space development

Entitled "The Meaning of Space Development," this section is made up of panels on the themes of scientific exploration of space, expansion of areas of human activity, contribution of space to economic and social development and to international cooperation.
2.Roket

This section contains a 1:30 size model of the Japanese-made H-II Rocket, with video film of its launching.

In addition, there are 8 models of top rockets from other countries of the world, together with recorded explanations.
3.Artificial Satellites

Various satellites are introduced in two categories: scientific satellites and utility satellites.
4.Inquiry of planets

Information on the present state of lunar exploration.
5.JAXA Internet information

Visitors can experience the Museum's popular Internet corner.
JAXA's home page can also be viewed and a variety of other information accessed.
6.Space Station Projects

Outer space presents humans with a treasure trove of new technology. The plan to build an international space station to utilize this environment is introduced on panels.
7.Space development database

Various data base information on space development can be accessed.
There is a question and answer section and a game to test if you have what it takes to become a space astronaut. This is a corner with something for everyone from child to adult.
