Science Club

The Science Club is an organization with a one-year limit on membership. Friends targets children who are at least in their third year of elementary school, aiming at nurturing the children's love of science and allowing them to experience the joy of creation. For this purpose, we hold a variety of fun activities, such as workshops, experiments, computer classes, and nature appreciation classes. In addition, we have lectures on science topics as well as tours of the Museum's facilities.
Please note it:Now,the lecture and the textbook in this science club are only Japanese.
After becoming a member of the Science Club

¡Ú1¡ÛMembers are entitled to participate in various activities sponsored by the Science Club, including workshops and laboratory classes.
¡Ú2¡ÛActivities are generally held 3-4 times a month on Saturdays and Sundays and holidays. During Spring and Summer vacations, however, activities may be held during the week, as well.
¡Ú3¡ÛThe Friends News is issued seven times each year, announcing activities of the Friends and plans to hold special exhibits and other related activities at the Science Museum.
¡Ú4¡ÛWith a Friends membership card, you can enter the Science Museum at no charge.
¡Ú5¡ÛEntrance fees at the Tamarokuto Science Center and Sendai Science Museum will become free.
¡Ú6¡ÛEntrance fees at the Museum of Maritime Science¡¡will be discounted.
¡Ú7¡ÛYou can also receive discounts at the Science Museum's museum store.
