What is Monodukuri?
Monodukuri (manufacturing) is as old as mankind. When the first men crushed stones and made stoneware this could be considered as manufacturing. The process of creation, by which an idea in one’s head becomes a thing in one’s hands, is not easy. Constraints such as available materials or limited knowledge have to be considered. But the manufacturing world is also woven by intuition, experience, our predecessors’ wisdom.... and science. Indeed, mathematical physics, chemistry, and engineering are at the deep roots of manufacturing.
